FOUR CALORIE CONSCIOUS HOLIDAY COCKTAILS

When you think of thanksgiving you instantly think, FOOD! Well, we also like to think DRINKS!

Living in Los Angeles California means virtually having an endless summer AKA maintaining the bod. Therefore we’re always trying to think of how to keep our calorie count low. If that speaks to you here are four classic Thanksgiving cocktail recipes with a calorie conscious twist.

Skinny Nog

We all love a classic eggnog but can we really afford more than one? Nope. I know, I answered for you. I’m using Polar seltzer’s seasonal Eggnog flavor to concoct a lower calorie version of your holiday favorite so you can have at least, two.

Ingredients:

2 oz. Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum

1 tbsp. maple syrup

2 oz. whole milk

4 oz. Polar Eggnog Seltzer

1 tbsp. ground nutmeg for garnish

Directions:

Toss all your ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake, hard! Strain into a wine goblet, or if your feeling fancy, make it martini. #NoRules. Top with Polar Eggnog Seltzer and garnish with some nutmeg. Counting calories? Your at around 193.

Spiked skinny Cider

The combination of Absolute’s Mandarin & Vanilla vodka lends to this cocktails 99 calorie creamsicle flavor.

Ingredients:

1 oz. Absolute Vanilla

1 oz. Absolute Mandrin

Splash of OJGinger ale

Directions:

It’s quite simple. Pour all your ingredients over ice and garnish with an orange wheel. DONE! I like serving this in a collins glass. I’d also suggest making it a double and sipping out of a pint glass. It’s been a long year! #YOLO

Skinny Cider Sangria

A pitcher of sangria = always a crowd pleaser. I mean, who doesn’t like to please a crowd! The sangria went over well with the boys and got them tipsy enough to stop asking I shake up more cocktails. It’s a little more annoying to make, but worth it.

Ingredients:

1 bottle white wine

2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider

2 cinnamon sticks

1 cup Absolute vodka

1 orange, sliced

1 tablespoon raw honey

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup cranberries

Directions:

Add wine, apple cider, cinnamon sticks, vodka, honey, and cinnamon. Stir and serve with ice. Garnish with an orange slice, a few cranberries and if your in the mood for chopping, apples are a good addition.

Skinny Pumpkin Spice Cider

Skinny Pumpkin Spice Cider: Because Starbucks isn’t serving rum! She may not be a PSL, but this drink reminds us why we love pumpkin flavored, anything!

Ingredients (serves four)

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 cups apple cider

2 cups Captain Morgans Spiced rum

1 tablespoon pumpkin spice seasoning

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

It ain’t exactly a vodka soda. You’re gonna have to carve out some time for this one. Pour the water, cider, and rum into a kettle and bring to a boil. That’s right, we’re heating her up! Stir in your pumpkin spice seasoning, vanilla extract, and honey. Divide the brew into four cups. Add cinnamon stick and serve.

ENJOY RESPONSIBLY
