After a few busy winter (ahem ;) months in LA I could only think of one way I wanted to celebrate my birthday this year: Chill-axed-Poolside-Party in the always warm, always refreshing, always sunny Palm Springs.
A dozen of my closest friends and I made the trip over straight after work on Friday. When we woke up on Saturday, we did nothing but swim, eat, drink and did it all over again on Sunday!
Because I love a homemade happy hour, we curated a list of specialty cocktails inspired by each guest in attendance. I took the liberty of shaking up some fresh watermelon cocktails inspired by Maestro Dobeltequila’s ‘Watermelon Lime Cooler’ recipe with a few alterations of my own.
The recipe calls for fresh watermelon and is a fairly ‘skinny’ cocktail, just … FYILA.
Also, cause I know were always looking for an Instagram-able moment, I served them straight out of the shell they were born in.
