Ever have a tree house as a kid? I remember being obsessed with the idea when I was young and having my dad build us one in the woods behind our house. I’m still really keen on the idea of having a space that feels a bit disconnected and surrounded by nature.

I’ve always been drawn to homes that have a tree house feel and immediately starting mentally redecorating this Mid-Century home the minute I walked in. I can confirm the pics below do not capture the laid back feel of this space but still worth the scroll.

Gorgeous Mid-Century Post and Beam in Mt Washington. Upstairs has an open floor plan with canyon views. The kitchen, dining and living room all flowing together. Plenty of light with wood beamed ceilings, large custom windows, and skylights. Kitchen has gleaming stainless steel Fisher & Paykel gas range and dishwasher with a Miele range hood. Updated bathroom has glass tiles and frameless shower door. 2 bedrooms upstairs with Master bedroom having a private balcony. Downstairs has 3rd bedroom, with an additional family room, and den (4th bedroom?) as well as the updated 2nd bathroom. First floor also has it’s own separate entrance from the carport to insure guests privacy or function as home office access. Exterior is surround by mature trees and features a wood deck with expansive canyon views and a fenced in yard for kids and pets. All this in the much sought after Mt Washington School district.
